#KeepUpToSpeed (Volume 3) – Regal Autosport’s BMW E30 build

The new stroker long-block engine is built and ready to be fitted to the E30.
The current body is a ‘test-bed’ considering Ryan has a much cleaner, rigid shell with a carbon roof ready & waiting in the wings. The current builds’ BHP sits at around 12o, and the new engine is hoping to provide at least 220 BHP, fingers crossed!

With everything optimized, the guys at Regal were getting hopeful. The spec for this beastly-build by Regal is as follows:

M20 320i
ENKEI Alloy Wheels
AT Power Throttle Bodies – Six Open Stacks (drive by wire)
CSF Radiator
CSF Oil Cooler
Bilstein Suspension
MRT Roll Center
Pneumatic Paddle Shifter
Roll Cage
Carbon Fiber Roof
E46 Throttle Peddle to match with the Throttle Body
BTB Manifolds with Zircotec Performance Graphite ceramic coating applied to minimize engine bay temperatures. Offering:
Temperature reductions of up to 33%
Improved performance
Increased part durability
Enhanced aesthetic
ZircoFlex GOLD offset ceramic heat shielding to tackle the high gearbox tunnel temps. Previously recorded at 70 degrees C! Things get serious in the next blog, the E30 will be getting mapped ready for a full SHAKEDOWN at Castle Combe Circuit.

Until then…
