JMW Motorsports has announced its three driver team for the legendary Le Mans 24hrs race. The Zircotec technical partners will once again feature three experienced Le Mans participants including Abdulaziz Alfaisal who returns to the team to race at the classic event for the second year in succession. He will be joined by Seth Neiman and Spencer Pumpelly. The team will run a Ferrari 458 Italia featuring Zircotec heat management solutions in the GT class.
Zircotec’s partner in endurance racing JMW Motorsports will field the highly experienced team of drivers who between them have already competed in the race 16 times. Seth Neiman and Spencer Pumpelly are both from the US whilst Abdulaziz Alfaisal hails from Saudi Arabia. This year’s race will mark the fifth time the JMW team has competed in the race and team owner Jim McWhirter is pleased to have the drivers on board for the event.
“I am delighted to welcome Seth Spencer and Aziz into the JMW Family for Le Mans 2014. They are all former competitors at Le Mans, indeed Aziz drove extremely well for us in 2013 and it is a pleasure to welcome him back.” said McWhirter. “Seth and Spencer bring loads of experience and I believe that with this driver line-up combined with our own five years knowledge of Le Mans we can be very competitive against strong opposition.”
It will be Seth Neiman’s 9th outing at Le Mans, whilst Alfaisal has competed in the gruelling classic endurance event four times previously and Spencer Pumpelly three times.
The team are using Michelin tyres this year for the first time having run their previous campaigns with Dunlops. The team’s Ferrari 458 italia benefits from Zircotec ceramic coatings and also our ZircoFlex® flexible ceramic heat barrier material to help the team’s thermal management which is crucial during endurance racing events.
