ZIRCOTEC PERFORMANCE WHITE - INDEPENDENT TESTING
Independent testing by the Motor Vehicle Research Association (MIRA) has shown that Zircotec's Performance White coating is capable of reducing manifold surface temperatures by up to 30%.
Actual surface temperature reductions of 173oC (343oF) were recorded during the MIRA testing, resulting in much lower operating temperatures for components near the exhaust system and thus lower temperatures more generally within the engine compartment.
MIRA used a Range Rover V8 gasoline engine in one of their engine test cells. A dynamometer controller was used to follow a 10-site steady state test sequence allowing engine loads of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80 % and 100% to be analysed at engine speeds of 3,500 RPM and 2,500 RPM respectively with controlled air flow over the manifold to allow the simulation of different vehicle speeds.
