COLOURED CERAMIC RANGE
As a result of Zircotec's ongoing product development programme, we are now able to offer a black ceramic for use in exhaust system applications. This coatings has been developed by our R&D team to address the specific product needs of a number of our business customers, the aim being to offer these customers a "solid colour" thermal barrier without having to resort to the application of a separate coloured surface finish or paint.
This coatings is a side development of our Zircotec Performance Range. The colouration is derived through making minor changes to the formulation of our ceramic feed materials. It still utilises Zircotec's proprietary ThermoholdTM technology, and is still applied using Zircotec's own in-house highly optimised plasma-spray process. Furthermore, in its final form they still contain more than 99% by weight of pure ceramic.
In developing this coloured ceramic we have aimed to maintain a high level of thermal barrier performance, though we have necessarily sacrificed some of the extremes of performance offered by the Zircotec Performance Range.To get a price for your system, or to discuss your requirements further please press here .

Zircotec Black
This black ceramic offers high levels of thermal barrier performance, with an overall thermal performance that is only marginally lower than that offered by the Zircotec Performance Range at low to medium temperatures. However, the black colouration and roughened surface does increase heat loss at very high temperatures.
We do not recommend this coating if uncoated surface temperatures are likely to exceed ~700oC (~1,300oF).
