Coatings to protect against wear & abrasion

We are able to offer a range of extremely hard wearing coatings consisting of either ceramic or metal. We can provide:

• Localised surface protection as well as an attractive finish - for those surfaces that might need to resist wear, abrasion, etc. during use.

• A range of ceramic coatings combining surface protection with aesthetics. Our ceramic coatings can provide different textures and colours to suit specific applications.
  

• A range of thin metal coatings. We can apply aluminium; titanium; molybdenum; nickel; stainless steel; and many other metals and metal alloys. These can be supplied with a surface finish that can be either smooth or textured.

• Finishes that are suitable for finish machining or polishing.
  

We can apply our coatings to whole surfaces or to just discrete areas where the coating is specifically required.

In the case of plastic components, our coatings can offer increased physical strength and/or increased stiffness. This has proven to be extremely valuable in rapid prototyping where lightweight components need additional strength and surface protection for testing.
