Update from University of Herts Formula Student Racing

The University of Hertfordshire Formula Student team has utilised Zircotec's ceramic coatings for three years in a row, see further details.

 

The team performed extremely well in the UK event finishing 2nd in the endurance Class-1 event and this contributed to an overall 3rd place finish for the team. This was the top UK team and the highest any UK team has finished in this event.

 

On the subject of Zircotec's coating the team have commented "the coating prevents the heat from the exhaust effecting other parts of the car, such as the oil cooler, fluid lines and fuel tank. Within 2 minutes of the engine stopping the exhaust manifold is touchable, meaning that the car can be worked on very quickly after a run, saving the team a lot of time during testing of the car. This time scale is much shorter than expected and even considerably shorter than the previous coating the university had used, showing Zircotec's continual development of their products."
