10th March 2009Zircotec's Technical Director Dr. Andy McCabe will be presenting at a Technology Evening being arranged by the Oxford branch of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club. The presentation is scheduled for the evening of 26th March 09 at the Chemistry Research Laboratory (CRL), South Parks Road, Oxford.
Andy will outline the history and technology of gas
plasma sprayed coatings and how they relate to thermal management. He will go on to talk about the use of ceramic thermal
barrier coatings within the
automotive/motorsport worlds.
Effective thermal management can reduce component damage, reduce running costs and improve driver comfort. However, effective thermal management can also improve the economic and environmental performance of vehicles. Andy will talk about the range of thermal solutions and products available from Zircotec and how they have been used to-date to benefit Jaguar cars. A range of coated components will be on display and an open discussion is welcome.
